Pre race talk and some interesting Ergomos

My conection is a little slow, so I am going to keep it brief. I am ready. It was good to meet the two Sensei of EN. The pre race talk got my head in the right place. I took two pics of the masters in mid speech.

Also, I walked around the Pro racks when i went to drop off my bike and found three Ergomo set ups. I will leave it to you to decide what you think. After the race i am going to post them up on the EN site. I find it hard to believe that pros head to a race with such set ups. Just so you know one of the bikes is from a previous winner of this race.

More after the race.

Todd,

Looking forward to the pictures. I believe that pro's often make poor role models for age groupers, for many reason. Curious to see yours :-)

Hey Guys, thanks for the great advice. I did the first 18 miles of the run like you said, well almost, I had to walk a bit at mile 2 because I was going out too fast. I had to change socks at mile 13 becuase of some blisters. Close to mile 18 I picked up the pace. By mile 20 I was on a fast pace and started passing people up like you said I would. I didn't count the people I passed since it was too hard to keep track. At around mile 24 1/2 I started my sprint to the finish. I was going so hard at the end that I couldn't stand up after crossing the line, I guess I gave it my all. I PR'd by an hour and forty minutes, so it was a good day.

thanks,
-nick
